2017 Boys Soccer Off-Season Weight Lifting

Posted by Jason Fried at Nov 9, 2017 7:52PM PST

Hello all Boys Soccer Players;

We are one week into off-season weight lifting. Please remember now to winter break Coach McLaughlin will be in the weight room right after school Monday thru Thursday. Coach Fried will also be attending twice a week. Per our end of season meeting we suggest all players to work out twice a week. You can pick which days you decide to come. When arriving in the weight room you are to check in with Coach McLaughlin for that days exercises.

We also started a google classroom for our players. The code to join is 1pft4d1. On the classroom you will see our attendance sheet that we utilize to track who is attending each session. You will also see a bonus homework assignment on nutrition. Anyone to complete this will receive bonus points towards the leaderboard. Remember attendance is also points each day, along with peformance challenges throughout.

Players please join the classroom and keep up the hard work. Thanks
Coach Fried

Hello all players and families:

I just wanted to throw out a big thank you to everyone. The coaching staff really enjoyed getting to talk to all the parents at the social and we appreciate the support that we have received all year. The program at every level is doing very well and that only happens with player, parent and coach commitment. And the great things is we have done well but plan to keep getting better everyday.

We also had 3 great Fenwick games this weekend winning all three and not allowing a single goal in any of them. On top of that we were able to raise $750 for Housing Forward, so I thank all of you for the support with that as well.

Below is an article about the varsity level that was in paper.

Hello All Soccer Families:

We have a great week of soccer coming up and ending with our soccer social and Fenwick Game this upcoming weekend. This is just a reminder that this upcoming Friday, September 22nd, is our Soccer Social at Skrine Chops (7230 w. Madison St.) in Forest Park. We have the top floor rented out. It will go from 6:30 to 9. We only sell our discount cards every other year so this will be our only fundraiser of the year. On off years for fundraising the social costs $40 per person. This will include appetizers/entree samples and door gifts. We will be doing a raffle for all sorts of prizes as well. There will also be a cash bar as in the past.

I hope to see all the parents of all levels out this Friday. It is a great way to have an adult night out and for the parents to get to know each other better and get to know the coaches in the program. It is a really fun night and I thank all of you for your support. The whole coaching staff really appreciates it.

Also, this Saturday we will have our crosstown games against Fenwick . Freshman A will play them at 9:30 at the Priory. Sophomores will play at 11 at the Priory. Then the Varsity game will be at 1pm in the Stadium at OPRF. There is no charge to enter the game but we will have Housing Forward at the gate taking donations to help support their program. I have attached a link if you are interested to knowing more about this program. http://www.housingforward.org/

If you are free I highly encourage you coming out to support the teams, they are a lot of fun to watch and this is a great rivalry. A lot of families in the community come out to the varsity game , and should make for a fun afternoon.

I thank you all for your support and if you have any questions please let me know.
