Thank you to all of the seniors that will be graduating next week. You have committed your time and effort to the program and now you will be entering into a new chapter in your lives. Best of luck on your adventures.

Parents, without you all, we could not have the experiences and memories that have been created for your daughters. Thank you for your support and dedication you give to the program.

Managers, thank you being there for the team. You were there at every practice and game helping out with equipment, running errands, and filming at games. You are a huge part of our Huskie program. Thank you

To our Varsity team. I hope your experience was a fun one. We struggled a bit to get some W’s but in that process we had fun and learned a lot about the game. Thank you for giving us your time and effort these past 3 months. Juniors, you will be stepping up to the plate as the big sisiters of the program next year. Great job this year.

Sophomore and Freshmen teams. You are the future of our program. As I walked around during practices and games, I noticed your hard work and committment. Your parents attended your games as well in support of your efforts and noticed your hard work. I look forward to seeing you all next year and over camp.

OPRF coaches. You guys are the reason why this program functions and is a success. I thank you for everything you do to make the players experience the best possible.

We are a strong Huskie family with lots of pride. I wish you all agreat summer and see you again in the fall.

Hello Huskie Family

This is just a reminder that registration for summer camp for OPRF Girls soccer is open.
Spots fill up quickly but signing up right away guarantees you a spot and helps us plan the camp.

Please remember that you sign up for the Girls High School Camp and not the Boys Soccer Camp.

For online registration go to www.oprfhs.org On the right side of the screen under “Quick Links”, click the “webstore” button. Next, click the “Summer Sports Camp” button and follow the prompts.

I highly recommend doing the summer camp since this allows the players work on their skills, learn our philosophy and improve their game. In addition, you will get feedback from coaches and learn what is needed to be prepared for the next level in High School

Camp runs from June 11 – June 22.

Thank you and please reach out to me if you have any questions.

I wanted to take this moment again to thank each and everyone of you for being part of the OPRF Huskie family.
We are well into the season and seeing some great things happening. Our teams are made up of a great groups of girls that are committed to the program. Again, thank you for allowing them to be part of the team. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Recaps for all levels:

Freshmen A – We have had a good start to our season, we are currently 1-1 with a win against cross-town rival Fenwick 4-0 and a 2-1 last second loss to Niles West. We are getting ready for a restful spring break before we start getting deeper into the season with lots of games and warmer weather.

Freshmen B -The Freshman B Girls are off to a good start. The girls are 2-0, with a 7-0 win at Niles West and 4-0 win at Riverside Brookfield.

On a chilly Saturday morning, Freshmen B opened the season at Niles West. Our 11 players played the entire game without any substitutes and started off strong. Scoring early and frequently, the girls got to a 4-0 score by halftime. Second half, the girls worked on possession, communication and finished off the scoring to give us the 7-0 win.

On a very cold and windy Tuesday this week, the girls traveled to Riverside Brookfield. Taking advantage of the wind in the first half, the team dominated possession and kept R-B under pressure. Having multiple opportunities to score, the girls came up with a 2-0 by halftime. In the second half, against the wind, the Huskies kept on applying pressure and earned more chances to score. The girls wrapped up the scoring getting us a 4-0 win.

Freshman B is looking good and having fun. We still have lots of work to do this season and hope to keep on getting better as the season progresses.

Sophomore Team – The first three weeks of season are going really well. The sophomore team is really coming together. We started off during week 2 with victories against Niles West and Nazareth. During week three, we beat Lyons Township and Riverside Brookfield. It has been cold, but the girls have worked really hard. Collectively, we have scored 19 goals this season. Our record is 4-0. Keep up the good work!

Varsity – We are currently 0-3 this season but working hard everyday to improve our record. The girls came out strong early in the games but fell short to their opponents. We have seen growth since the start of the season and continue to set the standard high. Next opponent, Proviso west. See you there!
